Privacy Policy

FineNote

Effective Date: August 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how FineNote ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

FineNote does not require account creation, does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or phone number. The App makes no network requests — it does not call any remote server or third-party API.

1-1. Automatically Collected Information

FineNote does not automatically collect any information. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising SDK included in the App.

1-2. User-Entered Information

Information Storage Location Sent to Servers
Note content (text you write) On-device (SwiftData, app sandbox) No
Links between notes ([[wikilinks]]) On-device (SwiftData, app sandbox) No

Everything you write in FineNote is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any external server, because the App does not have network access.

1-3. Locally Stored App Preferences

FineNote saves two small pieces of state on your device using UserDefaults, so the App can resume where you left off:

Information Purpose Storage Location
ID of the last opened note Restore your last note when you reopen the App On-device (UserDefaults)
First-launch tip dismissed flag Avoid showing the local-storage tip banner more than once On-device (UserDefaults)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessed by FinePocket or any third party.

1-4. Device Backups

Because your notes are stored in the App's sandboxed local storage, they may be included in your device's iCloud or iTunes/Finder backups if you have those enabled. This is standard iOS backup behavior and is controlled entirely by your Apple ID and device settings, not by FineNote.

2. How We Use Your Information

FineNote does not use your information for any purpose beyond operating the App on your device:

We do not analyze, profile, or otherwise process your note content for any purpose.

3. Third-Party Services

FineNote does not integrate any third-party SDK — no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no in-app purchase or subscription service. We do not sell, share, or transmit your information because the App has no network connectivity and no third-party service is embedded in it.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

5. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Because FineNote stores all data locally on your device and we have no server-side access to it, these rights are exercised directly through the App's delete and uninstall functions. For any other inquiries, contact us at the email below.

For Users in South Korea

Under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, and suspend processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

FineNote does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14, and in fact collects no personal information from any user. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will assist in addressing the concern.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, we will notify you through an in-app notice or app update. Any change that would add data collection, analytics, or network functionality requires this policy to be updated in advance of that change taking effect.
