2048 Korean

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 2048 Korean ("the App"), a puzzle game published by FinePocket ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

2048 Korean is a 2048-style tile-merging game in which tiles show Korean words instead of numbers. The core game is free to download and play. It runs on your device, needs no account, and has no ads. The game board, your best score and your word book are stored only on your device.

2. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including the usage rules in them).

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. Optional Purchases

• The App offers optional, one-time (non-consumable) purchases: themed word packs and board themes. There are no subscriptions, no consumable items and no advertising.
• The default word ladder, the full game, Undo and the word book are free and are not gated by any purchase.
• Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Prices are shown in your local currency by the App Store before you confirm.
• Purchases are tied to your Apple Account. You can restore them on another device using "Restore Purchases" on the store screen.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Please request refunds through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Nothing here limits any refund or withdrawal right you have under applicable consumer law.
• We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage purchase status. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
• redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense or publicly host the App or its content (including the word content and graphics);
• bypass or tamper with the purchase system, or use the App to obtain paid content without paying for it;
• use the App in any way that is unlawful or that interferes with the App or Apple's services.

5. Learning Content

The Korean words, meanings, romanizations and example sentences are provided for general entertainment and light language exposure. They are not a language course or professional instruction. We try to keep them accurate and appropriate, but we do not guarantee they are complete, error-free, or that using the App will produce any particular learning result. Slang and trendy expressions change over time.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, icon, code, text and word content, belongs to FinePocket or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. The name "2048" refers to a well-known game concept whose rules are freely implementable. 2048 Korean is an independent work and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the creators of any other 2048 game.

7. Privacy

How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss. Because your score and word book are stored only on your device, they may be lost if you delete the App or lose the device.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinePocket will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App through in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim arose (or KRW 10,000 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any mandatory consumer rights you have.

10. Changes and Termination

• We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you through an app update or in-app notice, and the updated Terms take effect on the date stated. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept the changes.
• You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
• We may suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it. If you have paid for content that we later remove, we will handle it in line with applicable law and Apple's policies.
• If you breach these Terms, your license ends automatically.

11. Apple

These Terms are between you and FinePocket only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App or your possession and use of it, nor for third-party intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
